The Mission Processing Group within Mission Services, Systems & Solutions (MS3) Space is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE). The Lockheed Martin-Space RTE facilitates program execution, impediment removal, risk and dependency management, value delivery, and relentless improvement for an Agile Release Train (ART). They facilitate program events such as Program Increment (PI) Planning and Scrum of Scrums sessions. They manage and coach the Agile Release Train (ART) and use scaling principles to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the ART.
• Interface across program Agile Teams and directly with Customer teams
• Develop, implement, and manage Release plans and ensure completion of milestones within time, cost and scope constraints
• Facilitate the PI readiness activities with the PMs and Architecture/Engineering by fostering the preparation of Roadmap and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings
• Facilitate ART events including: PI Planning event, System Demos, and events such as scrum of scrums
• Maintain and brief metrics to customer and program stakeholders
• Foster intradisciplinary communication and coordination within engineering and external stakeholders
• Software or Systems Engineering skills, such as Software Architecture and Development, Requirements Design and Verification
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in support of customer interaction and formal presentations
• Atlassian suite familiarity
• Experience with Agile metrics
• Experience as a Release Train Engineer, Product Owner, and/or Scrum Master in an Agile SCRUM environment
• GEOINT community background - familiarity with the domain/products/customer set
• Experience with Radar and/or SAR systems
Previous experience with Control Account Management
Typically has 5 - 7 years of professional experience.
