Description:Role Overview
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support production operations by developing and improving manufacturing processes for a specific product line. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to help transition products from development into stable, high-rate production. Your work will focus on improving efficiency, solving production challenges, and ensuring consistent, high-quality output.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
• Develop manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for machining operations
• Review engineering designs and provide input to improve manufacturability
• Create production plans and optimize workflow to meet delivery goals
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Analyze factory and process data to improve efficiency and stability
• Collaborate with shop floor personnel to implement process improvements
• Design tooling and evaluate equipment performance
• Support quality teams in resolving process-related defects
• Contribute to the production of weapon systems, ground support equipment, and satellite electronics
• Provide occasional travel and off-hours or weekend support as needed
Work Environment
• Team-based, collaborative production setting within a manufacturing facility
• Fast-paced environment focused on continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Regular interaction with engineers, production staff, and quality teams

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must meet all requirements listed:
• Experience supporting production or manufacturing operations
• Experience working in a machine shop environment
• Experience participating in or supporting design reviews
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
• Ability to work at a facility that requires special access
Desired Skills:
These skills are not required but will strengthen your candidacy:
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and work measurement methods
• Experience in high-mix/low-volume or high-mix/high-volume production settings
• Familiarity with machining processes, equipment, and methodologies
• Experience creating manufacturing work instructions or production processes
• Ability to read and interpret G-code
• Experience using SAP or similar enterprise systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
• Experience with Creo or similar design software
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Active Top Secret clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
