Description:Role Overview:
As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will build and test hardware used in aerospace and space systems. This is a hands-on role focused on assembling, modifying, and troubleshooting high-reliability components that support critical missions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical hardware
• Fabricate, bond, solder, and build components using detailed instructions
• Disassemble, modify, rework, and test assemblies
• Read and follow engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Perform both repetitive and custom assembly tasks with precision
• Troubleshoot issues and support corrective actions with engineering and quality teams
• Identify and help resolve production or process issues
• Follow safety, training, and quality standards in a regulated environment
• Support production schedules, including shift work and overtime as needed
Work Environment:
• Hands-on manufacturing and fabrication setting
• Team-based environment with close collaboration across technicians, engineers, and quality teams
• Fast-paced, precision-focused work
• May include shift rotations and extended schedules based on program needs

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements listed:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Hands-on experience in mechanical or electromechanical assembly in a manufacturing or production environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
• Experience assembling, troubleshooting, reworking, and testing components or subassemblies
• Ability to perform precise, detail-oriented work using standard tools
• Ability to follow safety, quality, and process standards in a team environment
• Ability to work varying shifts, extended hours, and overtime as needed
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
• Willingness and ability to complete required technical certifications after hire, including soldering, cable/harness, and bonding/polymers training
Desired Skills:
Nice-to-have skills that strengthen candidacy but are not required:
• Experience with soldering, bonding, cable/harness fabrication, or polymerics
• Familiarity with precision tools, fixtures, or fabrication processes
• Experience working with aerospace, avionics, or ground support hardware
• Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments
• Basic familiarity with manufacturing systems (e.g., SAP)
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
