Description:WHAT WE’RE DOING
Lockheed Martin is advancing next-generation command and control capabilities to support critical missions through scalable, data-driven systems. You will join the Enterprise Mission C2 (EMC2) organization leading the Advanced Comms & Networked C2 Team in Valley Forge, PA.

We are seeking an experienced Full Spectrum Leader with experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams working toward varying objectives. This organization is focused on Advanced Communication Capabilities (5G/6G) and supporting emerging programs like Tactical Mobility and Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2), and working across RMS – Mission Integrated Command & Control (MIC2) on program or internal investment portfolios with partnership with Enterprise Technologies.

As a Full Spectrum Leader, you will be responsible for leading an organization of 7-12 high-performing engineers to incrementally deliver capabilities across various program portfolios.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee the planning and execution of tasking across the Advanced Comms & Networked C2 Team.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and execute supporting roadmaps across both engineering teams, while identifying resource, staffing, and capability needs.
• Participate in technical reviews to foster a continuous improvement mindset and strengthen the quality of delivered artifacts.
• This Manager will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate engineering processes, technical personnel, and design tools are applied and managed.
• Technical leadership of portfolio tasking, from development through on-site participation in real-world demonstration events.

CUSTOMERS / GROWTH / FINANCIALS:
• Provides technical leadership and oversight of program performance
• Ensures cost, schedule and technical commitments are met for all programs and products
• Ensures appropriate BOE’s are applied, risks and opportunities identified, and approves cost estimates
• Manages staffing and resource allocation across programs to meet technical, cost and schedule
• Supports a growth mindset implementing continuous improvements through 1LMX and AI/ML Engineering capability adoption.
• Process, tools, common products, infrastructure, and services and drives a 1LM Digital Data Environment wherever possible across our centers.
• Drives to ensure we keep pace with emerging technologies with current and future staff while supporting our IRAD and Functional Projects investments.

WHO YOU ARE
You are comfortable leading a diverse set of Systems and Software engineering tasks, seeking to participate across a broad set of organizational stakeholders within the RMS Business Area. You enjoy hands-on engagement in day-to-day development activities, thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and are motivated by delivering solutions that perform in real-world conditions.
Basic Qualifications:
• 7+ years of Software, Systems, Integration & Test engineering experience.
• Demonstrated informal or formal leadership of small, high‑performing engineering teams, integrated events, or demonstrations.
• Strategic Programs Awareness: Demonstrated understanding and strategic awareness of core Army modernization efforts, including Army Next-Generation C2 (NGC2), Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense (AIAMD), or emerging air and missile defense architecture frameworks like Golden Dome for America.
Desired Skills:
• Commercial Software & Defense Tech Background: Prior experience working within defense technology startups or commercial software enterprises that successfully scaled software solutions into DoD ecosystems.
• C2 & Data Architecture Knowledge: Foundational understanding of distributed, networked architectures, including data layers, data meshes, or data fabric concepts central to enabling C2 capability across joint and mission partner forces.
• Ecosystem Integration & Interoperability: Familiarity with delivering software applications into broader government or third-party architectures using APIs, Software Development Kits (SDKs), or open data ontologies.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
