As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be a key contributor to mission systems that strengthen space domain awareness and satellite resiliency. You’ll apply modern DevSecOps practices to ensure our platforms are secure, scalable, and optimized for rapid delivery.



What does this role look like?



• Architect, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, secure software delivery.

• Automate deployment and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Packer, or AWS CloudFormation.

• Orchestrate and manage containerized applications with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker/Containerd.

• Implement GitOps practices and collaborate through GitLab/Git workflows.

• Integrate security into every phase of development, ensuring compliance with DoD and cybersecurity standards.

• Partner with software engineers, systems engineers, and cybersecurity teams to deliver end-to-end mission capabilities.

• Apply monitoring, logging, and optimization techniques to increase reliability, scalability, and security of mission software systems.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).

• Final Top Secret clearance required prior to start, with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

• Active Security+ or CISSP certification (DoD 8140 compliant).

• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Ansible, Terraform, Packer, AWS CloudFormation

- Kubernetes and containerization (Docker, Containerd)

- Helm for package management

- GitLab/Git for source control and collaboration

- CI/CD pipeline automation (GitLab, ArgoCD, Jenkins, or equivalent)

- GitOps practices

• Experience working in Agile development environments (JIRA, Confluence).
Desired Skills:
• Active TS/SCI clearance.

• Experience as a technical lead in DevSecOps environments (architecture, research, standards, or project leadership).

• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience, including automation, incident response, monitoring, and performance optimization.

• Strong background in Linux system administration and shell scripting (bash).

• Familiarity with space domain operations and mission system software.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to partner across multi-disciplinary teams.

• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.

• Strong time management skills with a track record of on-time project delivery.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
