In this role you will have the opportunity to:
• Be the P330 program technical leader for all elements of the system:
o Oversight of Engineering and Configuration Management activities including:
 Chair for Engineering Review Board (ERB)
 Review and prioritization of all Discrepancy Reports (DRs)
 Chair for Environment Configuration ERB
o Key Technical responsibility for all key P330 milestone reviews such as 15% DAA, 50% DAA, 85% DAA, FAT, PSA, PSR, SAT and TTO
o As needed the P330 Chief Engineer will interface with subcontractors, vendors, external segments interfacing with P330, LM Program Management and the P330 Customer
o Chief Engineer will be the primary technical decision maker for requirements and verification
o Represent the program to external segments / entities and the P330 customer
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions
• Work across the Lockheed Martin organization and customer/user community to ensure consensus and understanding of solutions
• Provide oversight for design, development and test of the products satisfying cost, schedule and specifications allocated to the Program
• Provide engineering support and technical direction for the execution of the program development and test
• Responsible for directing and supporting problem and discrepancy evaluation and resolution, coordinating system interface issues, planning for engineering activities, developing technical processes, evaluating system design changes, impacting program assessments pertaining to engineering changes, and other engineering activities
• Develop relationships and working groups between key system interfaces to ensure smooth execution and response to system problems

You must demonstrate effective technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills. You will work with a diverse Government and contractor team with multiple skills and job disciplines across several projects or task orders.
Basic Qualifications:
• Proven success as a Chief Engineer or equivalent on a similar large scale, complex operational, real-time system
• Extensive engineering knowledge and background in the Space-Ground Domain
• Experience with engineering a system built from various COTS SW/HW, custom and semi-custom designs
• Previous experience / knowledge of high performance space ground communications systems
Desired Skills:
• Systems engineering experience or relevant systems engineering training through a university or certificate program
• Design and test experience in a Hardware or Software subsystem
• Familiarity or proficiency with the following engineering tools: [DOORS, MATLAB, Architecture Framework such as DoDAF, Model Center]
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, synergetic team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
• Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate
• Understanding of space to ground communications systems
