The Engineering & Technology organization is a highly dynamic and growing organization that plays a vital role in providing mission-critical intelligence solutions by optimizing satellite constellations, processing data through its entire life cycle and developing reliable cutting-edge infrastructure for information dissemination across a global network and to a variety of programs.
You'll have an opportunity to work on world-class programs such as Orion, SBIRS, GPS-III, Commercial Vehicles, Deep Space Exploration, Classified Special Programs, and Communications Systems.
Within these Programs, you will participate in the design, development, verification and deployment of complex new systems. You will utilize your previous systems experience, and/or skills, to develop and maintain systems. You will directly help establish the technical solution and overall system design for our country's most vital and complex Systems.
In this role you will:
• Be the program technical leader for all elements of the system
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions
• Establish system architecture and CONOPS, perform system trades and analysis, flow down the architecture and CONOPS into requirements and interfaces, and support verification planning
• Work across the Lockheed Martin organization and customer/user community to ensure consensus and understanding of solutions
• Provide technical engineering leadership across multiple sites for the Jupiter communication program
• Provide oversight for design, development and test of the products satisfying cost, schedule and specifications allocated to the Program.
• Provide engineering support and technical direction for the execution of the program development and test
• Responsible for directing and supporting problem and discrepancy evaluation and resolution, coordinating system interface issues, planning for engineering activities, developing technical processes, evaluating system design changes, impacting program assessments pertaining to engineering changes, and other engineering activities
• Develop relationships and working groups between key system interfaces to ensure smooth execution and response to system problems.

Basic Qualifications:
• Excellent communicator and demonstrated ability to brief high-levels of customer management.
• Experience architecting, developing, and delivering highly reliable RF Communications / Ground subsystems
• Experience managing subcontracts for communications / ground components or subsystems
• Experience in all aspects of communications systems development, design, installation and operations
• Experience providing technical leadership for the complete life-cycle of a program – from proposal/negotiations through successful delivery and commercial operations.
Desired Skills:
• RF Communications Systems Engineering
• Knowledge of 4G LTE specifications and protocols
•Wireless Communications – Satellite and Terrestrial
•Mobile Telecommunications Protocols (GMR2 spec)
