Description:Manages the planning, coordination, direction, and/or performance of engineering assignments involving specifications for, and design changes or alterations to, aircraft, engines, systems, components, and field or shop equipment; investigates and analyzes project requirements and operating problems and develops recommended solutions to meet company governmental safety and performance standards including Minimum Equipment List (MEL); evaluates, selects, applies, and/or adapts engineering modifications; designs or recommends new or modified parts and components; analyzes reparability of parts and components; evaluates operating data on parts, components, and systems to establish causes and to determine remedies for wear, malfunctions, or premature removals; analyzes and evaluates aircraft and associated equipment proposals; prepares technical data, procedures, reports, drawings, manuals, and other required publications. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Also a site-lead representative to customer’s organization, conduct technical training and product briefings with customers, vendors and company representatives. Lead trainers in the C-130/CV-22 Crew Chief, Communication/Navigation, Guidance, and Avionics career fields. Monitor trainers performance and professional development and when required, implement quality improvement methods. Prepare trainer qualification plans, review teaching schedules to maximize course availability and review trainers lesson plans for currency. Apply instructional system development techniques to prepare lessons, develop student examinations and review, update and finalize course documents. Evaluate student progress throughout all phases of the formal training environment.
Basic Qualifications:
AC/MC130J/H/U/W APG trainer, USAF Craftsman (7-skill level) (Reference AFI 36-2101) in a like position/system on the C-130 with preferred one (1) year experience on C-130J model aircraft and a minimum 5 years’ experience on legacy AFSOC C-130s.

Must be familiar with AFIs, IMDS and technical orders.

Must have excellent communication skills, trainers will present themselves as a positive role model for students.
