Description:Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is seeking a Systems Engineer / Analyst to develop algorithms on the leading-edge global Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system for the Missile Defense Agency.

Responding to ballistic missile threats presents an unprecedented challenge of speed, precision, and coordination among numerous weapons systems, sensors and warfighters. C2BMC is the integrating element that links the various individual sensor-interceptor-communications elements into one coordinated system protecting against all types of ballistic missile threats. This protection spans across multiple regions in any phase of flight providing the warfighter with an integrated global view of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS).

The Track Server Agile Cross-Functional Product Team is responsible for the design and implementation of key C2BMC target tracking, classification, and reporting capabilities. While a Track Server product team member might find themselves working on cross functional tasks, the primary role of this position is that of an C2BMC to GMD systems analyst and Track Server algorithm engineer.

Specific responsibilities of an Track Server Algorithm Engineer are:

• Perform performance analysis of target tracking and classification capabilities between C2BMC and GMD BMDS systems
• Aid in the design and refinement of C2BMC Track Server algorithm architecture
• Aid in the analysis, design, prototype, documentation and implementation of complex algorithms within C2BMC
• Work within Track Server Agile product team to plan and realize new system capabilities
• Work with other C2BMC product teams to enhance system capabilities across the C2BMC system
• Assisting in the requirements, implementation, review and testing of C2BMC algorithms
• Performing Comparative data analysis to assess algorithm performance
• Review of the content and details of technical products
• Participate in technical exchanges with external stakeholders

• Demonstrated experience in algorithm development, troubleshooting, analysis, and one or more of the following areas: system analysis, design, modeling, simulation, integration, test.
• Must possess good written and oral communication skills
• Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions
Desired Skills:
• Experience in BMDS or airborne target tracking and target classification is highly desired
• Experience performing trade studies, requirements development, engineering design as well as software development processes and modeling is desired
• Direct experience with BMDS radar systems (LRDR/TPY-2, etc.) either direct or indirect is highly desired
• Experience in developing Algorithm Description Documents (ADDs) and related Systems Engineering products is highly desired
