Description:This position is a Blue Sky opportunity contingent on the award of work associated with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) MASC-F Program. Rotary and Mission Systems in Huntsville, AL has an entry level Software Quality Engineer opportunity to work within the MASC-F Program Quality organization.

The MASC-F program will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in performing Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Modeling & Simulation (M&S). Candidates will support the Ground Test Integrated System Simulation (GTISS), End-to-end Digital Integrated System Simulation (EDISS) and other use cases including Training and Wargaming through development and sustainment of the Objective Simulation Framework (OSF).

Candidates will work in an Agile team environment, where they will actively engage in sprints and other Agile process activities. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter that is attentive to details and works well in a multi-disciplined teaming environment.

The Software Quality Engineer Associate role will support development and test of complex Missile Defense Systems Simulation, tasks will include:
- Perform as a member of a team working with peers, and engineers on technical tasks
- Participates in Agile release and sprint activities, which include planning, execution, demo, retrospective, acceptance test, final release, and lessons learned activities
- Performs test witnessing / monitoring
- Witness software product builds and test events. Performs software media verification
- Utilize critical thinking skills to audit program elements to contract requirements
- Coordinate with agile teams and quality team members to support customer mission elements
- Coordinate with the teams on code reviews in GitLab and unit test verifications
- Work with Configuration Management and Cyber Leads to verify code standards compliance using program tools and program processes
- Verifies software builds and installations are accurately identified and managed
- Ensures systems and software issues and defects are tracked to closure
- Perform data analysis using MS Excel, Tableau, and other tools
Basic Qualifications:
- Knowledge in Software Development Lifecycles (e.g., Agile, Iterative). Previous experience in Systems Engineering Methodologies (Model Based and DoDAF).

- Software, Computer, and/or Electrical Engineering degree/background.

- Basic understanding of Software Languages (such as C#, C++ and Java).

- Self-starter who is detail oriented, well organized and able to self-prioritize and complete tasks within in a dynamic and demanding environment. Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills working within a diverse environment and across many disciplines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to build and provide briefings and status reports.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science or related professional experience.
