Description:WHAT WE'RE DOING
At the forefront of innovation, the Radar & Sensor Systems (RSS) segment within Integrated Warfare Systems & Sensors (IWSS) is launching a new Emerging Sensors (ES) organization. This business area is focused on developing and integrating cutting-edge sensor technologies that support next-generation missions for a diverse set of customers—including the FAA, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), intra-Lockheed Martin stakeholders, and other U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) elements.
We’re uniting new program starts, technology maturation efforts, and Contracted R&D (CRAD) pursuits under one focused subsegment to drive faster innovation, capture new markets, and expand our impact across both domestic and nontraditional defense sectors.
THE WORK
As the Strategy and Business Development lead for the newly formed RSS Emerging Sensors segment, you’ll be responsible for shaping new business strategy and creating a robust pipeline of new sensor opportunities. Your work will span across critical technology and customer sets with key responsibilities to include:
• Driving strategic captures and aligning investments with growth priorities
• Building and managing customer relationships across DoD, FAA, and other stakeholders
• Partnering with program and engineering and technology teams to transition innovations into programs of record
• Lead the development of integrated business and capture strategies to identify and pursue ES opportunities
• Mentor and develop ES team members on all aspects of the win plan, customer relationship building and capture development.

WHO YOU ARE
You’re a strategic leader with a proven track record to identify, qualify and win new business opportunities. You are a high energy proven leader with an ability to execute the RMS Win Plan. You Bring:
• Experience leading large-scale DoD captures / growth campaigns
• Expertise in customer engagement—both U.S. and international
• A track record of CRAD or new-start program captures
• Excellent cross-functional leadership skills
• A collaborative approach to aligning technology, business, and execution strategies
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally to support market expansion
• Experience supporting customer contact tracking, decision mapping, competitive intelligence and customer assessments
• Demonstrated experience organizing and presenting data to senior/executive management and advanced communications skills in Power Point, written media, and verbal presentations.
• Experience in leveraging stakeholder functional organizations: Program Management, Advanced Concepts, Engineering, Sustainment, Operations, Contracts, Business Ventures/Offset, ITC and Legal

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or business.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in business development, capture management, and/or program management.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Extensive understanding of Lockheed Martin win plan, capture process, and business development practices. Experience leading competitive pursuits.
• Experience supporting customer contact tracking, decision mapping, competitive intelligence and customer assessments.
• Basic understanding of the Emerging Sensors portfolio.
• Demonstrated experience organizing and presenting data to senior/executive management and advanced communications skills in Power Point, written media, and verbal presentations.
• Experience in leveraging stakeholder functional organizations: Program Management, Engineering, Sustainment Operations, Contracts, Business Ventures/Offset, ITC and Legal.
Desired Skills:
• Established relationships with the Emerging Sensors program management teams and relevant customers.
• Prior experience interfacing with and briefing senior industry and customer executives.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Demonstrated experience with business transformation efforts, and engagement/understanding of LM’s Digital Transformation initiative.
• Prior leadership experience.
• Participation in Capture Management Development program.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
