Lockheed Martin Space is currently seeking System Engineers to be a part of the team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to threats.

As a Engineer, you will support the Systems Engineering (SE) Special Disciplines Organization. In this role your responsibilities will include:

• Working with a geographically dispersed team while maintaining self-accountability and flexibility. Interacting directly with government customer, supply chain authorities and management.
• Applying, maintaining and executing the program plan
• Working along with Domain Experts in various fields, performing analyses at all levels of the total system product over its life cycle, from concept, through production and up to disposal
• Interpreting system requirements and allocating in models
• Performing or assisting in trade studies, technical planning, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems

Successful candidates typically have at minimum a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience.

You must have the ability to obtain a Clearance or higher level as needed, therefore U.S. Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field
• Familiarity with HDBKS and Standards (i.e.; -217, -1629, -1543, -338, -472)
• Ability to obtain a DOD clearance, therefore U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Experience creating , independently completing and interpreting and applying requirements.
Desired Skills:
• Experience in Creating, Maintaining and/or Delivering the following: Program Plans, Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality (FMECA), Critical Items List, Availability, Maintainability and including Centered Maintenance (RCM), Built-in-test design, and verification, Fault Tree , Probability Risk Assessment (PRA), Application of probability and statistics to support decisions regarding sample size, burn-in life testing and failure investigations, Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), dormancy effects, Stockpile Testing, Explaining sophisticated RAMT concepts in simple terms
• Customer interface experience, especially with military customers
• Spacecraft/Missile experience
• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to tackle problems and implement constructive change
• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
• Experience with RAMT and PRA modeling software
• Active clearance
