Our facility in Huntsville, AL has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our mission. In this role, you will support the NGI program with the following:

- Assisting AUR IPT project engineering team and IPT leadership through development of automated tools to assist in real time monitoring and evaluating project progress.
- Developing tools and methods to collect information and generate technical roadmaps to reflect program performance, track progress and inform data making decision making within the AUR IPT.
- Leading the AUR IPT in embracing the 1LMX culture and assisting in the early adoption of its tools, processes and methods to streamline transitions to stay ahead of the curve.
- Performing problem solving, including developing and assisting in managing detailed project plans, timelines, and technical content
- Collaborating with all levels of personnel within the Team, functional engineering departments and IPTs to identify essential data needs to support successful operations.
- Participating and providing data and objective evidence for required reviews and audits with the internal customers, MDA, DCMA, etc.
- Supporting Control Account Managers (CAMs), Financial Analyst, and Project Engineers on the team with their day-to-day roles
- Perform other duties as assigned by team leadership
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree (technical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience/combined education.
· Prior project planning experience: proposal, cost modeling, or operations.
· Experience writing, handling, organizing, and coordinating documentation/data
· Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Tableau, Alteryx or equivalent work flow programs
· Must be a US citizen, will be subject to a government security investigation, and must meet eligibility requirements for a security clearance
· Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Desired Skills:
· Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work collaboratively with peers, customers, and supervisors and to build professional relationships.
· Experienced project-coordination experience (e.g., creating task lists, maintaining schedules, tracking status) with exposure to formal project-management tools.
· Experience participating in cross-functional teams to help resolve technical questions and support problem-solving efforts.
· Capability to assist technical leads and peers in tracking cost, schedule, and scope items and to provide clear status updates.
· Ability to apply systems-thinking concepts; able to identify how a changes in one area may affect others and suggest practical improvements.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
