Our facility in Huntsville, AL has an immediate opportunity for a mid-career Project Engineer who wants to join our mission. We seek a Project Engineer to manage the Non Developed Software (NDS) / Non-Developed Items (NDI) included within Software Items developed and/or maintained by the THAAD program.

What will your typical responsibilities be in this Project Engineering role

- Work with partnering organizations (Contracts, Legal, International Trade Compliance office, Quality, Procurement, etc) to ensure all processes and NDS/NDI license agreements are appropriately followed and implemented to ensure smooth product flow throughout the program lifecycle.

- Support THAAD post-production in ensuring software license renewals are timely

- Work with THAAD Weapons Systems Engineering Integration and Test (WSEIT) to ensure the integrity of the NDS/NDI database and support documentation needed for the software condition and release at transfer (SW CART) process.

- Act as the Domain Expert for NDS/NDI related needs on the THAAD program to include researching export and license transition information as needed.

Typically has 9 - 15 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
• Knowledge of program life-cycle

• Must have, at minimum, an active Interim Secret; US citizenship is required

• Strong problem solving, root cause, corrective action, and closure skills
Desired Skills:
• THAAD program experience and 2-3 years of project management and/or software engineering / process experience

• Desire to enhance Program Management skills including communication, the ability to deal with unforeseen challenges, and building strong relationships

• Demonstrated experience in driving complex issues or problems to successful closure

• Lead discussions and determine resolutions to problems

• Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

• Accept responsibility, accountability and exercise authority to success

• Active Secret security clearance
