As the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) Parts, Materials and Processes (PMP) Manager at Lockheed Martin Space, you have an immediate impact in shaping the program and organization’s future. This is an opportunity to lead a dynamic PMP team of engineers with expertise in both active and passive electronic piece parts, hybrids, electronic subassemblies, printed wiring board/circuit card assemblies, metals, composites, coatings and propulsion materials to solve a variety of challenges in both a design and manufacturing/test environment, that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. Drawing upon previous leadership experience and your own technical expertise you will help your team overcome challenges, lead the resolution of critical issues, strengthen vertical/horizontal communication, and build the organizational talent to solve the challenges of the future.

In this role you will:
• Drive execution of the Parts, Materials and Processes (M&P) team
• Exercise your expertise in the application of all parts, materials, and processes disciplines in support of NGI development and production
• Assign Parts, Materials and Processes (M&P) personnel to technical engineering assignments
• Lead the resolution of critical issues
• Perform functional management tasks including coaching, group & individual development, and performance management for your team
• Apply Full Spectrum Leadership principles to help the team adjust to a new organizational paradigm.

We're looking for:
• A self-starter who develops solutions to technical issues
• A motivated individual who's able to work closely within a technically diverse team to resolve technical issues
• Someone with the ability to handle shifting priorities, multiple projects and timeline pressure to meet deadlines
• Someone comfortable with communicating in a variety of forums
• Technical leadership of diverse teams or projects
• Proven ability to communicate key project information or recommendations to Program management and /or Customers

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical, Materials or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Broad knowledge of Parts, Materials and Processes (PMP) engineering requirements for high-reliability military program
• Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives
• Previous technical leadership experience
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
• Project Leadership/Management Experience throughout the engineering life cycle: scoping, sizing, cost estimation, planning, scheduling, staffing, tracking and earned value management
• Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.)
• Experience working collaboratively with customers and geographically dispersed teammates
• Preparation and participation in program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR
• Experience as PMP Control Board Chairperson
• Knowledge of natural and/or man-made radiation effects on EEE parts and/or materials
• Non-conformance and failure analysis disposition experience
• Knowledge of Materials and Processes for product development, improvement, design, application, and production
• Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills

Pay Rate:
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $122,900 - $204,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
