Lockheed Martin is looking for a dedicated Mission Operations and Ground Data Systems Lead Systems Engineer to become a member of the Systems Team on the Integrated Human Lander System (IHLS) program.

The Mission Operations and Ground Data Systems Sr Staff Technical Lead will be responsible for the following:
– The technical development and execution of the Mission
Operations team responsible for operations of multiple elements of the Integrated Human Lander System (IHLS) program.
– The Ground Data System including development
efforts required for the various operations sites
– Provide technical guidance to subcontractors/teammates within the Operations organization

A significant responsibility of this position includes a strong collaboration with the NASA JSC Flight Operations Directorate and development of a badge- less integrated NASA JSC/LM Space operations team

Basic Qualifications:
10+ years expertise in the following areas:
– Systems engineering or related engineering discipline with demonstrated systems engineering knowledge and skills including requirements identification, decomposition and allocation and verification/validation
– Mission Operations – real-time mission operations for a complex spacecraft mission and technical lead for a mission operations team
– Mission planning
– Timeline development
– Training – training for a Mission Operations team and customer users of the operations product (aircraft/cockpit and spacecraft)
– Development of Simulation and Operational
trainers
– Ground Data Systems
– Demonstrated technical leadership of multi-functional teams
Desired Skills:
– 8 years experience with Human Space Flight
– 3 years experience working with NASA JSC FOD
– Experience with Crew piloting requirements (aircraft and spacecraft)
– Experience with derivation of EVA activities
– Experience with derivation of planet surface operations
– Demonstrated ability to technically lead a multi-disciplined Mission Operations team to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals
– Ability to lead and participate in technical working groups that involve diverse team members and the customer
– Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deliver products on schedule and to cost
– Ability to develop and sustain strong customer and subcontractor relationships
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills,strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers
