The Orion System Engineer Asc Manager is responsible for the execution of a successful test and verification campaign for the Orion DDT&E program. This includes coordinating across multiple spacecraft subsystems and modules and leading a geographically dispersed team through a complex test and verification campaign to ensure on time delivery of the Orion spacecraft and successful mission execution for Artemis I and II.

Specific responsibilities include:
1.Managing the overall system test plan execution for the Orion Program.
2.Leading the spacecraft hardware and software integrated test program, including all labs, thru flight certification.
3.Support the definition of Integrated Test Lab (ITL) test objectives across a wide range of stakeholders, including NASA flight and ground ops, ATLO, Avionics and Power, Mission Operations, etc. This includes establishing an integration test baseline, identifying minimum testing required across the various labs, and combining functional testing where appropriate from the various stakeholders. This also includes allocating tests to lowest test level practical.
4.Work with and guide requirements owners to update requirements to enable streamlined verification. Implement overall program verification completion campaign.
5.Work with and guide integration teams to establish long term methodical sequence from integration, to verification, and finally mission validation. This includes intra-Orion interface testing, functional testing, stress testing, inter-program testing, and mission testing.
6.Establish a transition plan from DDT&E to production environment, focusing on recurring mission requirements (ground and flight), and potential changes to vehicle configuration.

The Orion Test & Verification Sr. Manager is responsible for all aspects of system test and lab infrastructure budgets including allocations to appropriate test and verification campaigns, EVMS and rolling wave planning activities, and reporting performance, variances, to go estimates and corrective actions to adjust financial performance to meet contract constraints.

The Orion Test & Verification Sr. Manager is a key member of the Sr leadership team focused on meeting contract requirements and returning America to regular manned space travel focused on exploration efforts as defined by NASA and the US Government.

Basic Qualifications:
- Expertise and demonstrated experience with elements of the System Engineering discipline: Architecture, Requirements, Design, Integration, Test, Operations
- Ability to work and interact with multiple engineering disciplines
- Spacecraft development, integration, or test engineering experience
- String organizational, communication, writing, presentation, and decision-making skills
