Job Responsibilities

Job ID: 702229BR Date posted: Aug. 19, 2025
Description:As an ERP System Architect, you will serve as the strategic and technical architect for design, integration, and governance of the adoption of enterprise 1LMX SAP ERP architecture. This role demands not only a mastery of SAP ERP technical architecture but also a deep functional understanding of business area processes, operations and architecture to operate end-to-end across Finance, Materials Management, Production Operations, Supply Chain, Sales & Distribution, and Project Systems.
You will be accountable for aligning ERP solutions with 1LMX transformation goals, ensuring seamless interoperability with related enterprise systems (MES, PLM, data warehouses, and enterprise analytics platforms) and maintaining a forward-looking architecture roadmap. You will also shape the transition strategy from the existing Space ERP landscape to the future 1LMX ERP solution, driving both business value and technical excellence.
In this role, you will:
• Lead integration of ERP Solution Architects across all functional domains, ensuring a holistic view of business processes and system interdependencies.
• Provide technical and functional oversight of ERP design, development, landscape architecture, testing, security, and performance optimization.
• Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, functional leads, and technical teams to ensure that ERP solutions deliver measurable operational, financial, and compliance outcomes.
• Champion best practices in SAP solution design, data governance, performance tuning, and security compliance—especially in classified and defense environments.
• Guide modernization and migration initiatives, including S/4HANA transformations, consolidation efforts, and advanced integration patterns.
You will report to the 1LMX ERP Strategy Sr. Manager and work closely with the Business Area DTO 1LMX ERP Program Manager, while collaborating across enterprise business areas to achieve cross-domain alignment.

Why This Role Matters:
This position is for someone who thinks beyond modules and transactions—someone who sees the entire ERP ecosystem as an interconnected network of processes, data, and technologies. If you thrive on aligning technology strategy with business transformation goals and can articulate how a single configuration change can ripple through finance, supply chain, and manufacturing operations, you will be a key driver in delivering the next-generation ERP foundation for the enterprise.
Basic Qualifications:
• Extensive expertise across the full SAP ERP suite, including Finance, Materials Management, Production Planning, Supply Chain, Sales & Distribution, and Project Systems, with demonstrated ability to connect these modules into cohesive end-to-end business flows.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP HANA database architecture, performance optimization, and design considerations.
• Proven experience collaborating with technical and functional teams to design and standardize scalable ERP capabilities.
• Expertise across multiple IT architecture domains, including data, infrastructure, integration, and security.
• Demonstrated ability to lead in fast-paced, complex environments with competing priorities.
• Strong facilitation skills for data-driven decision-making at both strategic and tactical levels.
• Ability to apply both project management discipline and functional expertise to deliver operational efficiencies and cost savings.
• US Citizenship is required for this role
Desired Skills:
• Significant prior experience in Aerospace and Defense ERP implementations.
• Demonstrated track record as an SAP ERP Technical & Functional Architect, with deep understanding of SAP’s systematic architecture principles and how they map to real-world business operations.
• Experience with S/4HANA migrations, greenfield/brownfield transformation strategies, and system consolidation projects.
• Knowledge of Agile development practices, preferably with the SAFe framework.
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin’s enterprise transformation initiatives, including accelerated classified transformation capabilities.
• Expertise in SAP integration technologies (e.g., SAP Process Orchestration, CPI) and frameworks, with hands-on experience integrating SAP ERP with MES, PLM, and other enterprise platforms.
• Prior work on Systems-of-Systems integration in highly regulated environments.
• Active or recent Secret Security Clearance.
