Lockheed Martin Space is looking for a senior-level technical engineer to provide expertise, analysis and engineering support. This position will be at our Springfield, VA Location.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
• Serve as a technical liaison with customers and provide project leadership skills while collaborating across customer and contractor boundaries
• Perform in a high tempo, dynamic small team environment, closely integrated with customers and contractors
• Keep customer and contractor leadership appraised of activities, deliverables, problems and opportunities
• Support enterprise projects across various programs, as directed by the customer
• Maintain currency on evolving events and new developments including participation at key conferences and forums

Your responsabilities will include:
• Developing, coordinating, training, evaluating and analyzing operational procedures
• Coordinating with Engineering, Operations and Planning functional areas to provide vehicle and system assessments based on available intelligence data
• Incorporating processes into station procedures, processes, training, requirements, CONOPs, directives and/or operating instructions
• Developing and delivering tailored presentations for Engineering, Operations and Planning customers and contractors, as well as external senior leadership audiences
• Using available data and visualization tools to analyze and assess events and options
• Maintaining situational awareness as the space environment evolves, new systems become operational and future systems are planned
• Developing mission plans for various ground and on orbit scenarios
Supporting related test, exercises and training

This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen. The position requires a Top Secret Clearance with an investigation w/in 6 years and an adjudicated CI Polygraph prior to start.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science Degree or related equivalent work experience
Superb engineering skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a minimum of 9 years of relevant technical work experience, or Master plus 7 years experience
Minimum of 3 years of Double Eagle experience
