THE WORK
As the Systems Engineer you'll be preparing plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintaining solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems.
There is a must have for this role; you should be willing to travel Internationally 2-4 times per year to support customer requirements.
The rest of the role will include your time spent to: Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates, and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems, and systems. Requires technical leadership by analyzing current LM and end user requirements, concept of operations, and system architecture to develop and lead tasking from the perspective of scope, schedule, and resource allocation.

Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess active US Security Clearance with a Polygraph
- Must hold a valid US Passport
- Network configurations/operations; Integrating and troubleshooting and updating and integrating both test and operational systems with issues often down to the OS level (Windows/LINUX/UNIX/RHEL) and with regard to servers, modems, switches, GOTS/COTS software

- Systems troubleshooting including hardware and software, Linux, Analysis capabilities, Communications, Python, or Bash, SOP development.

- Serve as the effort's Integration and Test Lead; collaborating on project vision & roadmaps through partnering with organization Senior Managers and Chief Engineers to realize the system Integration, Verification, and Test Plans and Procedures.

- Requirements gathering, design, documentation and planning experience to include previous test experience (methodologies, terminology, test plan development)

- Experience developing system cyber security requirements, functional requirements, and allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components

- Experience in the development of documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents

- Author detailed test plans/procedure and troubleshooting procedures

- Experience conducting quantitative analysis in non-functional system performance areas like Reliability, Maintainability, Vulnerability, Survivability, Producibility, etc.)

- Experience participating in interface definition, design, and changes to the configuration between affected groups and individuals throughout the life cycle.

- Leading multiple development tasks and customer engagement

- Experience allocating real-time process budgets and error budgets to systems and subsystem components

- Understanding of stakeholder needs, functions that may be logically inferred and implied as crucial to system operations effectiveness

- Experience in establishing and gaining approval of a system definition or component definition under development including requirements, designs, interfaces, and test procedures, and maintenance

- Knowledge of defining the methods, processes, and evaluation criteria by which the systems, subsystems and work products are verified against their requirements

- Experience providing technical direction for the development, engineering, integration, and testing of specific components of complex hardware/software systems

- Must be willing to travel Internationally 2-4 times per year to support customer requirements.

- Strong written, communication, and presentation skill
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal and problems solving skills
- Technical, hands on cyber security systems engineer experience and Systems Administrator skills experience for a DevOps type position highly desired.
- Technical certifications highly desired: CISSP, CEH, CASP, Security+, etc.
- Familiarity with Elastic Search, Data Flow, Docker and Kubernetes highly desired.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $123,500 - $217,695. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
