The Work:
This position is located in Hanover, MD. As a Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) at Lockheed Martin, you’ll safeguard the Sensitive Compartmented Information and warfighting capabilities our citizens and the world depend upon to protect U.S. and global interests. Here, you’ll work alongside other security experts, government civilians and military members to support their military operational objectives by providing them with a safe and secure operating environment. In this fast-paced, real-world environment, you’ll draw on all your experience and education as well as the resources of Lockheed Martin to keep these exquisite capabilities and intelligence protected.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day site security operations including but not limited to:
- Acting in the capacity of a Contractor Special Security Officer and Assistant Facility Security Officer.
- Administrative Security functions, organizing and filing all administrative program security paperwork to remain Inspection Ready and compliant with USG regulations.
- Conduct self-inspections; manage preparations for and representation of security inspections and audits by government security personnel.
- Assist the Security Team with additional security support as required by the RMS Advanced Programs Manager and the local Customer. - Administering the SCI Nomination Process by processing, logging, and preparing incoming and outgoing SCI Nomination packages. - Conduct annual SETA requirements in conjunction with the programs; provide security indoctrination, debriefings, pre/post Travel briefings and annual refresher briefings as necessary.
- Classified document & media control to include maintenance of logs tracking documents in transition.

In support of our customers, members of the team are responsible for providing all aspects of security support services such as, Security Management, Personnel Security (PERSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC), Security Education and Training (SETA), Access Control, Media Control, Construction Security Management, and must have a Subject Matter Expert (SME) level of understanding of industrial security regulations and procedures, including experience administering provisions of the 32 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 117 NISPOM, DOD 5105.21 Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Manuals, and DOD 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.

Must have a Subject Matter Expert (SME) level of understanding of industrial security regulations and procedures, including experience administering provisions of the 32 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 117 NISPOM; DOD 5105.21 Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Manuals; and/or DOD 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals.

Must be team-oriented with an ability to still work independently and multi-task and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a CSSO, FSO, or as a PSR.

Must have excellent communication skills to include verbal and written, as well as tact and diplomacy being key.

While mission support is primary Monday – Friday (9/80 work week) mission requirements may require after hour response and possible weekend work.
Desired Skills:
1. Comprehensive knowledge of DoD 5105.21; ICD 705; 32 CFR Part 117; and other DoD policy and regulations.
2. Knowledge of Advanced Programs Security requirements, Operations Security (OPSEC), and Program Protection Plans.
3. Experience as Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) and/or Media Custodian.
4. ICD 705 Construction Certification
5. The successful completion of the Facility Security Officer Certification, or the Contractor Special Security Officer Course, or the CDSE SAP Mid-Level Management Course Pre-requisites is preferred or must be able to successfully complete within 1 year of employment.
7. Excellent written, verbal, and customer interface skills.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,400 - $150,650. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
