Description:The Logistics Engineer will provide support to a mission critical program. The Logistician will be responsible for requirements analysis, vendor interface, procurement, order tracking and Contract Acquired Property (CAP) Reporting. The Logistics Engineer will also perform government property management for the accountable equipment assigned to the contract. There will be significant customer and subcontractor interface. Close coordination with Project Managers/Technical leads will be required.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working with/assembling monthly Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) reports for submission to the Government.
- Able to process requisition orders and maintain Microsoft Excel and Access databases to track, analyze and prepare CAP & Property Reports.
- Experience in maintaining annual inventory records and performing annual inventory audits & reports.
- Support 9x80 work week starting at 8AM daily or later in order to support core customer hour of operations.
- Basic knowledge with property management & Government Bar-coding Procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment where multitasking is critical.
Desired Skills:
- Basic knowledge of procuring material with a company purchase card with potential for growth.
- Experience working in the classified intelligence community.
- Basic knowledge of line item receiving and inventory processes.
- Property Officer experience is desirable.
- Ability to make timely and sound decisions and understand the financial impacts of decisions and actions of the team.
- Experience in SAP/ERP, and/or P2P software applications is highly desired.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written) will be necessary to support program requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of Microsoft Access & other Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
