What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager in Greenville, SC, you will lead a high-performing manufacturing planning team that supports multiple programs and customers within a fast-paced production environment. You will be responsible for setting team priorities, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring manufacturing processes meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on leadership, as you will guide process improvement initiatives, oversee project execution, and coordinate closely with cross-functional partners to meet program goals. You will also represent the team during audits and reviews, serving as the primary point of contact for all manufacturing engineering-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the manufacturing planning team, ensuring alignment with program and customer requirements.
- Set organizational priorities, monitor progress, and drive performance to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Coordinate projects and oversee process reviews to ensure efficient, compliant, and effective manufacturing operations.
- Identify, implement, and sustain process improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production engineering, production operations, quality, back shops, and production control teams to resolve issues and achieve shared goals.
- Manage department budgets, resource allocation, and scheduling of assets to support program needs.
- Serve as the primary representative for Manufacturing Planning during AS9100 audits, DCMA reviews, and other formal assessments.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all manufacturing engineering-related issues, objectives, and initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree.
Experience with manufacturing process and procedures.
Experience in Aviation Production Work Instruction Planning.
Management/Leadership experience.
Desired Skills:
Must be able to manage multiple programs and budgets; multi-task several projects; and have a complete understanding of engineering concepts.
Comprehensive understanding of Fabrication and Assembly Planning and how to generate work instructions.
Experience with PDM, JDL, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) including SFM, SAP, CAPP, MRP.
Experience presenting to large groups of employees, customers, and site leadership.
Experience managing teams of planners in the Aerospace industry or lead engineer supporting multiple employees and customers.
Lean Manufacturing experience.
Full Spectrum Leadership qualities.
Understanding of full production life cycle from procurement, engineering, production, quality, and sustainment.
Good oral and presentation skills.
Must be willing to work extended hours in support of program needs as needed.
Understanding of Aerospace standards (AS9100 & ISO9001), concepts, and processes.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
