F-16 Avionics Technician

Duties: Services, repairs, and overhauls aircraft avionics systems to ensure airworthiness. Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft avionics systems, such as comm/nav, attack avionics, electronic warfare, flight instruments, sniper targeting pod system, and flight control systems. Determines feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components and assist with Periodic Inspections. Replaces or repairs worn or damaged components. Work typically requires a detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits. Will provide technical guidance and OJT to customer technicians.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/INFO: Progressive and documented experience in the fighter aircraft maintenance environment. Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills. Must read, write and speak English fluently. Must have or be able to rapidly secure a DOD secret clearance. Regularly required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and perform work from ground level to overhead. This position requires frequent standing for long periods, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and twisting.

*Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

SECURITY Clearance REQUIRED. Must have an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to start date AND must maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must be a high school graduate or have completed an equivalent program

Candidate must have held a USAF 7-skill level or 5-skill level (or equivalent) with documented experience in F-16 Avionics

Candidate must have at least 4 years’ experience with F-16 aircraft maintenance activities.
Desired Skills:
Aircraft Mechanic / Aircraft craftsman A&P Lic.

Have a working knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems and components on the F-16 aircraft at the organizational level of maintenance

Ability to perform ground handling and servicing of aircraft

Ability to read and write in Arabic
