Communications Representative

Description:This role helps plan and execute all strategic internal and external communications supporting the Greenville site and Aeronautics Field Sustainment team, a total organization of 2,000+ people. The selected candidate will develop and implement communications plans to support employee and executive communications, community engagement, media relations and special events such as webcasts, ceremonies and site visits. The candidate must be able to be a Communications generalist with a reputation for building strong relationships and working across organizational boundaries to shape outcomes. The successful candidate must be experienced with both internal and external communications and must be able to work well individually and in a team environment.

Must be a United Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
• Exceptional writing, editing, and oral communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways.
• Experience cultivating and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and leaders.
• Experience planning, organizing and supporting employee and organizational events, executive communications, marketing or media events.
• Experience handling multiple priorities under deadlines
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the others:

• Prior experience writing internal communications, including writing for the web, or internal and external audiences and a strong understanding of Associated Press (AP) style.
• Motivated self-starter who performs without appreciable direction and works effectively under competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Proven quick study with an attention to detail and a sense of urgency, strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Familiarity with contemporary communications trends and industry techniques, including social media and visual storytelling.
• Ability to collect and interpret metrics to influence strategic direction in communications plans.
