What You Will Be Doing
You will be an Aircraft Maintenance Support Engineer at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Greenville, SC you will be responsible for providing on scene troubleshooting advice, maintenance data tracking, flight hour management, aircraft maintenance planning & scheduling, Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) management, Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) management, technical manual writing, and technical data reviews. You will perform preliminary and advanced planning and long-term scheduling for the utilization and maintenance of assigned aircraft, propulsion units, associated equipment and related support training equipment, and to perform duties related to the documentation function while undergoing operations. Additional interrelated duties may also be assigned.

Must be able to read and speak English. Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Additional mission essential functions and other duties may be assigned as required.

Candidate will provide shadowed toolbox with etched tools per minimum inventory and specifications as detailed by the company.

Candidate must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Basic Qualifications:
* Candidate must possess at a minimum, 6 years of C-130/L-100 aircraft maintenance experience and be knowledgeable in aircraft systems operations to include landing gear, flight controls, and aircraft ground operations.

* Experience in Flight Line Operations, Isochronal/Phase Inspections, and Depot Level Maintenance on C-130/L-100 aircraft.

* Candidate must have the ability to read, interpret and apply applicable reference material, such as maintenance, supply and documentation instructions, regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex maintenance problems.

* Candidate must support the maintenance team with the technical resources needed to maintain assigned aircraft including hands on maintenance, parts research, troubleshooting and tech data/job verification.

* Candidate must have knowledge of production policies and regulations and how to properly apply them to prevent or alleviate production delays and scheduling conflicts; plan for and alleviate material shortages or delays; and correct faulty or ineffective production methods, procedures or operations.

* Candidate must be able to determine maintenance capabilities and aid in developing operational schedules to include daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual utilization schedules for known maintenance and operational training requirements.

* Candidate must be able to operate automated information systems and maintain equipment records to support applicable systems. Reviews, evaluates, and files documented information for planning and scheduling maintenance actions. Maintain historical and flight status records. Manages the aircraft configuration and ensures accurate documentation of Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO), Special Inspections (SI), and Time Change Items (TCI) and their related automated subsystems.
Desired Skills:
* Candidate has experience with C-130J aircraft maintenance scheduling and be knowledgeable in C-130J aircraft operations.

* Experience with servicing, pre-flight, launch and recovery (post-flight inspection) of aircraft.

* Experience with aircraft logbooks, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives and TCTO's, and aircraft jacket files.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes.

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

* Ability to identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown on engineering documentation and technical orders.

* Ability to manage off-site site letter checks and performs crew lead duties when required for on-site heavy maintenance.

* Willing to be trained and/or certified in special skills.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
