Description:Are you a highly skilled embedded software engineer seeking to work in an innovative engineering environment? Our MFC (Missiles and Fire Control) Engineering & Technology (E&T) Team in Dallas, TX is seeking a creative software engineer with a strong background in Cybersecurity.

The successful candidate will fulfill one of two primary roles. As a Secure Software Developer the candidate will design, develop, and maintain code in a way that provides high assurance of application confidentiality, integrity, and availability while operating in adversarial threat environments.

As a Secure Software Tester the candidate will analyze the security posture of applications and provide actionable reports using a combination of automated tools and manual analysis techniques.

Responsibilities will also include working within a cross functional team to derive Computer Software Configuration Item (CSCI) level requirements focused on software security from higher level operational and system requirements and to resolve integration challenges to meet stakeholder needs.

Typical applications developed are related to image processing, target detection and tracking, missile guidance/ navigation/ control algorithms, missile launchers, system control, built-in test, and system communication. Development will be in C and C++ hosted on either a PC or Unix environment and targeted for an embedded processor running an OS such as VxWorks or Linux.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with software development in C and C++

-Experience in software coding, unit test, integration, and verification

-Embedded OS or RTOS experience with products such as VxWorks, OpenRTOS, or Linux

-Experience with Hardware-Software integration

-Knowledge of structured analysis principles and methods

-Skilled in software debugging and defect analysis

-Familiarity with IDE tools such as Visual Studio or Eclipse

-Excellent communication skills.
Desired Skills:
-Skill conducting manual review of design and implementation for weaknesses and vulnerabilities

-Skill in using dynamic and static code analysis tools

-Skill in discerning protection needs

-Skill in performing root cause analysis

-Skill in designing countermeasures to identified security threats

-Skill in test planning to adequately cover security concerns

-Active security certification aligned to DoDI 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01-m baselines
