The Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) engineer at Lockheed Martin will have the opportunity to design, simulate and verify technologies such as missile autopilot, guidance algorithms, inertial target tracking, and Navigation algorithms using Kalman Filters for optimal estimation techniques. They will also have the opportunity to design, simulate and verify precision servo control and pointing algorithms for gimbaled seekers and other sensors as well as various actuators and mechanisms. Modelling and simulation of these systems is performed primarily in Matlab and C++.

This program is part of our Tactical Missiles Advanced Programs portfolio at our Missiles and Fire Control location in Grand Prairie, TX.

As a key member of the Hypersonic Technology Maturation IRAD team you will focus on technologies necessary for the weaponization of a hypersonic missile. The research is focused on sensor and scene generation. The major output of the IRAD is a Sensor Computer-in-the-/ that provides a capability for integration of sensor and software with missile in real time operation. The chosen candidate will help create and validate models in the Common Scene Generator (CSG) framework developed by the US Army. The framework is built upon CSF and is + based.

Recent investigation (< 5 years) is desired. The candidate must be capable of obtaining a final Secret clearance. 5="" years)="" is="" desired.="" The="" candidate="" must="" be="" capable="" of="" obtaining="" a="" final="" Secret="">
Basic Qualifications:
• An interim Secret Security clearance is required to start.

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Experience with the following:

• Development of and integration of physics principles as they apply to CIL.

• 6 development required.

• Object Oriented Design methods.

• Configuration management of software or development efforts.
Desired Skills:
• Posses a Secret Security clearance with most recent investigation completed with the last 5 years.

Experience with the following:

• JIRA, Bitbucket, or Git.
