The 1LMX ERP Production Operations IT Team is modernizing Lockheed Martin businesses with SAP S/4HANA. As part of this transformation, we are adding an SAP Intern who will shadow developers and provide hands‑on support for SAP product‑administration activities across multiple functional areas: Product Data Management Integration (PDMI), Transportation Management (TM), Logistics Execution (LE), Warehouse Management (WM), Inventory Management (IM), Production Planning (PP), Material Management (MM), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Global Trade Services (GTS), etc.

What You’ll Be Doing
-Learning‑focused responsibilities that complement the SAP Developer role.
-Shadow Development Work – Observe daily scrum activities, design reviews, and code walkthroughs; ask questions to understand how data flows across SAP modules.
-Assist with SAP Product Administration – Help maintain system configuration, monitor user authorizations, and support basic change‑request processing under guidance.
-Support Proof‑of‑Concepts – Contribute small, well‑defined tasks (e.g., data‑setup, test‑case execution) that validate feasibility of new ideas.
-Participate in Scoping & Sizing – Attend requirement‑gathering sessions and help document effort estimates for RICEWF‑related tickets.
-Review Documentation – Help ensure functional and technical specs are clear, consistent, and traceable; flag missing details for the team.
-Learn Middleware Integration Basics – Observe how multiple systems are linked and assist with simple configuration or troubleshooting steps.
-Collaborate Across Teams – Join meetings with partner technology groups to see how cross‑functional goals are aligned and executed.

What You’ll Gain

Basic Qualifications:
• Basic exposure to SAP – coursework, labs, personal projects, or a certification (e.g., SAP Introduction, SAP ABAP Basics, SAP Business Technology Platform)

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field

• Team‑player attitude & eagerness to learn – willingness to take direction, ask questions, and contribute to a collaborative environment

• Analytical/problem‑solving mindset – demonstrated through coursework, projects, or extracurricular activities (e.g., hackathons, research)
Desired Skills:
-SAP / SAP Certifications / S/4HANA modules (e.g., MM, PP, WM, GTS) or exposure through coursework/labs.
-Agile/Scrum frameworks
-ABAP coding
-Experience w/ relational databases/SQL
-Ability to navigate SAP GUI and/or SAP Fiori Launchpad
-Exposure to middleware/integration concepts (e.g., IDoc, OData, SOAP/REST)
-Basic scripting or automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for simple data‑prep or reporting tasks
-Understanding of Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, demos)
-Exposure to SAP Learning Hub or a beginner‑level SAP certification
-Prior internship or project experience with ERP systems (any vendor)
-Familiarity with version‑control tools (Git) and basic change‑management processes

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $67,642 - $77,788. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
