Missile Modeling and Simulation Senior Staff Engineer

Description:Lockheed Martin is looking for a modeling and simulation architect for simulation efforts for a fast-paced new missile program. This program is part of our Tactical Missiles Advanced Programs portfolio at our Missiles and Fire Control location in Grand Prairie, TX.

The candidate will perform simulation development tasks for the TLVS Effectors System. The candidate will develop, verify, validate, document and maintain the Six Degrees of Freedom (6DOF) simulation; perform general mathematical modeling for 6DOF missile simulations; develop technical solutions to issues associated with simulation development such as architecture, model approach and V&V approach; apply OOA (Object oriented analysis)/OOD (Object oriented design) principles to simulation development; integrate models and upgrades into large, complex simulations; test and evaluate simulation results in team environment. Other responsibilities include support to the flight test planning efforts and development and presentation of systems predictions for program reviews.

Basic Qualifications:
• Must posses an active Secret security clearance or higher.

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Experience with the following:

• Sensor, missile, launcher, and/or air defense systems.

• Real-time and C++ software development, Linux, and MATLAB.
Desired Skills:
Experience with:

• Hardware-in-the-loop simulation testing.

• Configuration management of software or simulation development efforts.
