Description: Lockheed Martin Energy is seeking mechanical engineer for our expanding energy storage business. LM Energy provides distributed energy resources to utility, commercial & industrial customers. Among these solutions is our GridStarTM Lithium energy storage system that is a turnkey, factory assembled, outdoor-rated product with AC/DC protection, power conversion, energy storage, thermal management, and controls. The mechanical engineer will lead the design, development, certification, and performance objectives of structural, Glycol, and HVAC subassemblies in the GridStarTM Lithium product line. Interested candidates should have extensive background in development of complex systems with specific experience in product development, integration and testing, and sustainment.

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to support the development of Energy Storage Systems. Development will include:
•Design and Development of 3D drawing models and creation/release of 2D engineering drawings using 3D CAD Software, SolidWorks
•Design and Development of HVAC/Glycol/Thermal Management solutions supporting batteries and power electronics and associated equipment
•Thermal design and analysis
•Requirements and Performance of Tolerance Analysis
•Support the Production Program environment, with participating in Change Control Board (CCB) and Material Review Board (MRB) initiatives
•Collaborate / Coordinate with other Engineering disciplines (Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Logistics & Sustainment Engineering), Procurement (Materials and Subcontract Management), Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations, and potential suppliers / vendors
•Provide engineering liaison effort to support the fabrication, assembly and integration tasks associated with the product line
Desired Skills: •Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
•Knowledge of configuration management system for drawing release
•HVAC certification and EPA License
•The candidate should have experience with Change Control Board (CCB) and Material Review Board (MRB) type experience, where disposition of discrepancy reports will be required by engineering
Basic Qualifications: •BS Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
•Computer Aided Design skills using SolidWorks Software
•Experience with HVAC, Glycol and thermal management designs and solutions.
•Candidates will need to have strong conceptual and detail design skills
•Knowledge of mechanical drawing standards
•Experience with detail, assembly, and installation type drawings.
•Knowledge of manufacturing and manufacturing processes.
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
•Strong oral and written communication skills
•Strong organizational skills
•Must have the ability to travel (approximately 25%) as it may be required to support the hardware fabrication / integration activities at suppliers
•Capable of performing in a fast paced, dynamic environment, capable of working in an inclusive, team environment
•Candidate must be a US Citizen
