Job Responsibilities

Job ID: 715048BR Date posted: Jan. 14, 2026
Description:

You will be the Maintenance Trainer for the Tactical Missiles Precision Fires team. Our group designs, builds, and fields the M270A2 and HIMARS precision fire launchers, delivering world class capability to U.S. and foreign military customers. We turn cutting edge engineering into operational solutions, and you’ll ensure every user can maintain and operate those systems safely and efficiently.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Maintenance Trainer you will own the end to end training lifecycle for our Precision Fire Launchers—from early stage Engineering/Manufacturing Development through Production/Deployment. You’ll partner with engineers, program managers, and logistics specialists to translate design data into clear, hands on curricula, then deliver that instruction to U.S. and international customers.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Designing, writing, and updating maintenance training curricula for M270A2 and HIMARS launchers, tools, and test equipment.
• Conducting classroom and field training on safe maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems.
• Performing training needs analyses and tailoring content to U.S. and Foreign Military Sales customers.
• Operating and teaching the use of vehicle diagnostic and test equipment, reinforcing proven troubleshooting methodologies.
• Coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and logistics disciplines to capture the latest technical data and ensure training fidelity.
• Managing training logistics, schedules, and documentation while maintaining strict compliance with safety and export regulations.
• Traveling domestically and internationally to deliver onsite instruction and support customer readiness.
• Continuously evaluating training effectiveness and iterating content to meet evolving mission requirements.

Why Join Us
We’re looking for a collaborative, technically savvy educator who thrives in a fast paced, multi disciplinary environment. If you have hands on experience repairing complex vehicle systems, a knack for turning dense technical data into engaging instruction, and the willingness to travel to customer sites worldwide, this role offers you a unique platform to shape how the world’s most advanced precision fire weapons are maintained. You’ll work alongside leading engineers, influence program success from concept to fielded system, and gain exposure to both U.S. and international defense communities. Join us to empower warfighters, expand your expertise, and be a pivotal part of Lockheed Martin’s mission critical Precision Fires program.
