Description:You will be the Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) Engineering Supervisor for the ESH team with Missiles and Fire Control. Our team is responsible for managing the interpretations, recommendations, and compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and/or company policies.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting ESH program activities, program management, and overall actions associated with managing the interpretations, recommendations, and compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and/or company policies. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training,
performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Directs the assistance in planning for changes in physical facilities to meet new environmental requirements. Directs the evaluation and
preparation of contracts for properly licensed hazardous and radioactive waste disposal firms and monitors waste handling. Organizes and equips spill-control teams. Manages the preparation of environmental impact statements and applications for all new permits and
renewals. Compliance and the prevention of noncompliant
conditions. You will be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, work assignments (e.g. HAZWOPER, RCRA and DOT) and
recognition/disciplinary actions. You will:

• Provide direction and support daily operations
for the Environmental Waste Technicians (hourly/
non-exempt) at the facility.
• Gain knowledge and understanding of the
Dallas site UAW Collective Bargaining Agreement
(CBA) requirements.
• Monitor attendance and performance of the
Environmental Waste Technicians to ensure CBA
requirements are met and follow through on any
disciplinary actions to mitigate any issues.
• Gain access to the hourly timekeeping system
of record (e.g. Apriso) to perform weekly review
and approval of timecards.
• Direct and manage contracts which support the
ESH organization, including properly licensed
hazardous waste firms, environmental
assessments and permitting, and emergency
response activities.
• Promote the ESH culture by driving various
ESH performance improvement initiatives and
employee engagement activities.
• Assure compliance with applicable ESH
regulatory federal, state and local agencies (e.g.
EPA, TCEQ, City of Grand Prairie) corporate, and
customer requirements.
• Directs the assistance in planning for changes
in physical facilities to meet new environmental
requirements.
• Directs the evaluation and preparation of
contracts for properly licensed hazardous and
radioactive waste disposal firms and monitors
waste handling.
• Manages the preparation of environmental
impact statements and applications for all new
permits and renewals.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or ESH-related discipline with at least 5 years professional expertise in an industrial environment.
• Demonstrated readiness to take on leadership responsibilities, with a focus on developing and growing as a leader in their career.
• Understanding of union environments and collective bargaining agreements.
• Proficient in reporting and accounting tools used at the site, such as SAP and Lockheed Martin developed systems.
• Experience reporting to and interfacing with State and Federal environmental and safety regulatory agencies.
• Experience developing and maintaining environmental, safety and health programs in compliance with key regulations.
• Proficient with computer-based tools and applications (Microsoft Office business programs).
• Ability to obtain and hold a government secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
Desired Skills:
• Previously demonstrated leadership experience
of a small group or team.
• Previous experience reporting to and interfacing with Texas environmental and safety regulatory agencies. Examples - TCEQ.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely,
both orally and in writing, across levels of the
organization.
• Ability to make difficult decisions, solve
complex issues and influence ESH cultural
improvement.
• Previous experience planning and allocating
tasks and workload across a team.
• Knowledge of and experience with ESH
management system elements, such as ISO
14001/45001 and/or OSHA VPP; Lead auditor
certification a plus.
• Experience authoring command media and
program documentation.
• Experience in change management and
planning activities as they relate to ESH
integration and considerations.
• Demonstrated management experience and
oversight of budget elements, including both
overhead and capital expenditures.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black belt) or other continuous improvement tools and techniques knowledge, including thorough root cause analysis and
mistake-proofing processes.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
