You will be the Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer for the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System Production Team. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑performance rocket system hardware through rigorous manufacturing processes.



What You Will Be Doing


As the Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for driving production excellence across the GMLRS SR program.



Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



  • Lead production line validations and engineering release reviews for new and revised designs.

  • Coordinate make‑or‑buy decisions and manage tooling strategies to support hardware fabrication.

  • Traveling at least 30 percent of the time to conduct supplier visits and collaborate with domestic and international partners to ensure supply‑chain integrity.

  • Provide earned‑value management and proposal support for ongoing and future projects.

  • Facilitate design‑for‑producibility reviews and address manufacturing challenges proactively.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to possess an active Secret clearance.


Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in an associated Engineering discipline
• Experience with Manufacturing/Assembly/Production Processes
• Ability to obtain or currently possess a Secret Clearance
• Ability to interpret drawings, Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) models, product/performance specifications and other systems‑integration technical data
• Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally at least 30 % of the time
• Ability to use MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced and changing environment
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration and developing enduring business relationships
• Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations
Desired Skills:
• Experience manufacturing circuit‑card assemblies to J‑STD‑001 standards.
• Experience in design for manufacturing/assembly or design to cost.
• Experience working with Government customers.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with Printed Wiring Board (PWB) layout to JADEC requirements.
• Lean/Six Sigma Yellow or Green certification.
• Knowledge of SAP and/or MRP production‑control system.
• Proven ability to improve cost, schedule, quality and/or safety.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
