What You Will Be Doing
As a Critical Skill Development Consultant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects to support critical skills development across functions and lines of business. We’re seeking a seasoned professional with adult learning, workforce development, consulting, and grant/management skills to round out our team’s toolbox. Initially, you will support projects aligned with our corporate strategy for a skills-based organization, critical skill development, and training grant strategy/apprenticeships. However, you will have opportunities to apply your skillset in various areas over time.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Manage a portfolio of projects to support critical skills development across functions and lines of business
• Design, develop (or manage the development of), and maintain in-house programs and practices to identify and solution for technical development needs
• Inform and implement learning measurement strategies
• Provide subject matter expertise for critical skills development leveraging modernized learning techniques, learning experience design, and development of integrated solutions using agile principles and methods
• Design learning solutions to ensure efficient and effective upskilling and reskilling of our workforce
• Conduct learning and development needs assessments
• Consult with clients on learning and development solutions and opportunities
• Develop and execute process improvements to maximize learning and development investments
• Partner across the enterprise to develop workforce development strategies and programs
• Support strategic workforce development initiatives and apprenticeships
• Establish and communicate project plans to relevant stakeholders
• Lead project teams and contractors to deliver learning and development solutions
• Gather and interpret data, executes analysis, and presents findings to leadership
• Use analytics to drive scalability of solutions to target populations and achieve impact

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Systems Engineering, or related field from an accredited university, or equivalent demonstrated skills and experience
• Practical experience and knowledge of Learning and Development concepts and practices
• Demonstrated experience with designing and delivering technical training
• Proven ability to assess training needs and develop strategic plan accordingly
• Proven ability to create reports and supporting material of training effectiveness to be presented to management
• 3+ years of program or project management experience, including Agile/Scrum
• Demonstrated experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
• 6+ years of experience in learning & development, talent management or related field, that includes assessment and customized design efforts
• Proven experience in implementing innovative learning designs and development solutions within a fast-paced, global environment
• Experience measuring program impact against pre-defined success metrics
• Strong attention to detail and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to develop effective partnerships to achieve results
Desired Skills:
• Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of the various training programs through observation, feedback, and tests
• Ability to perform in-depth needs analysis to uncover learner and organizational needs, identify performance gaps and changes in work process, procedures and technologies, and make changes and updates to align with objectives and strategic priorities.
• Ability to manage full-cycle training programs, including but not limited to: effective training analysis, course development, Learning Management Systems (LMS) content integration, live instructor-led, or blended training
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior skill in explaining technical topics
• Experience influencing stakeholders without formal authority across functions
• Acute attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to take initiative, be proactive without waiting for direction
• Ability to learn new technologies, the curiosity to figure out how things work, and a passion for improving employee experience
• Master’s degree in organizational development, instructional design, human resource development, or similar and/or equivalent demonstrated skills and experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $109,200 - $189,290. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $95,000 - $167,440. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
