Job ID: 559558BR Date posted: Jun. 16, 2021 Locations: Grand Prairie, TexasProgram: THAAD Description:This position supports the THAAD Program under the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Business Area of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Controls (LMMFC). The desired candidate will provide proposal, negotiation, and contract administration support to the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) platform. In this position is part of a high paced, mutli—tasking environment where the candidate will be responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and negotiating contract requirements, contract change impacts, solving complex problems, extending and administering IWTAs and requests for proposal / ROMs. The individual will be adept in understanding contract terms, articulating those positions to the business and ensuring the program teams are able to effectively understand the impacts of the agreements reached with the Customer.

Overall responsibilities include:

Ensure contract responsibilities are compliant with Lockheed Martin corporate and local policies and procedures. Candidate should possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be a self-starter who requires minimal supervision.

Plays a key role in shaping the future of Lockheed Martin by implementing business strategies for capturing new and following business. Must maintain high standard and ethics.

Manage, participate in and/or conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Assist in shaping and grooming the next generation of Lockheed Martin Contracts Professionals through mentorship, coaching, training, and advising.

Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to work with stakeholders across multiple Business Units. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work independent of functional management while managing the successful completion of program requirements.

Advise leadership and Program management of contractual rights, obligations and risks; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical contract information.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be well versed in all aspects of the contract life cycle including contract administration, proposal preparation and close-out
Occasional travel is required.

Strong working knowledge of administering and negotiating a variety of fixed price type (FFP, FPIF) and cost type (CPFF, CPIF) contracts at various dollar thresholds but vast experience with efforts greater than $100M.

Strong negotiation experience directly with the customer.

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)

Experience negotiating and administering a variety of fixed price type (FFP, FPIF) and/or cost type (CPFF, CPIF) contracts

Experience with FAR, DFARS, and other government acquisition regulations

Bachelor's degree

Ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired Skills:
U.S. Department of Defense contracting experience. Direct experience with the Missile Defense Agency, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and/or Direct Commercial Sales experience is highly desired.

Moderate to advanced experience in the DoD contracting industry as a DoD Contractor, Contract Training and/or Certification and/or warranted contracting officer

Experience leading or managing other employees (this particular role is not a management position)

The candidate should be able to:

• develop solutions to a variety of moderate and complex problems which may require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation
• establish effective working relationships and communications with all internal and external customers and possess excellent business acumen
• handle multiple assignments simultaneously and achieve program goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate should be a proactive self-starter who is detailed and teamwork oriented, capable of working independently with general supervision and should possess strong analytical skills and be a team player in both the office and virtual environments.

Familiarity with the IWTA system and related policies and procedures

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
