Contract Management Associate

Description:This position supports the Precision Fires business area of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Controls (LMMFC). The desired candidate will provide proposal, negotiation, and contract administration support for various Munitions and/or Launcher contracts across the business area. This position is part of a high paced, multi—tasking environment where the candidate will support reviewing, interpreting, and negotiating contract requirements, contract change impacts, helping to solve complex problems and solving less complex problems on their own, and provide proposal preparation, contract negotiation, administration and closeout for the program(s) and special projects as assigned.
The individual will have an understanding contract terms, articulating those positions to the business and ensuring the program teams are able to effectively understand the impacts of the agreements reached with the Customer.
Ensure contract responsibilities are compliant with Lockheed Martin corporate and local policies and procedures. Candidate should possess strong written and oral communication skills and be a self-starter.
Participate in and/or conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
Must have strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills with ability to work with stakeholders across multiple functions. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently of functional management.
Advise leadership and Program management of contractual rights, obligations, and risks; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical contract information.
Reviews and evaluates customer requests for proposal or revisions to contracts; provides risk assessments and offers alternative approaches to mitigate risks, including alternative contractual language.
Evaluates and coordinates proposals; investigates and reconciles significant contract changes involving cost, specifications, schedules, etc.
Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached during negotiations.
This position may require some travel.
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Fundamental knowledge of business principles
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
Energetic, enthusiasm and self-motivated
Electronic Contracting Environment (ECE) experience
Familiarity with the IWTA system and related policies and procedures
