We are looking for an energetic person with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to join a team participating in the development of state-of-the-art infrared imaging systems. Responsibilities involve working with a cross functional team from Engineering, Production, Quality, Program Management, and other functions to control the engineering documentation required to define our sophisticated products. Ensure that customer requirements are implemented, and review change accounting activity to verify compliance with configuration management policies. Analyze proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinate modification records for management control. Daily tasks include generating engineering change orders, tracking the impacts and implementation of changes, and updating documentation. Includes writing, developing and editing technical documentation such as specifications, test procedures, desktop instructions and statements of work.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college in English, communications, journalism, business or related field.
Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance
Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills
Understanding of configuration control
Excellent written and verbal communication
Writes, in clear and concise language, such technical documents as procedures, specifications, and related technical publications
Broad experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Word and Adobe
Be well organized, take direction well, and be a self-starter willing to seek assignments and guidance
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with engineering drawings and documentation
Experience in developing and authoring technical publications, as well as the ability to effectively work with multiple engineering, software, supportability, and logistics disciplines to develop highly accurate technical manuals.
