This Enterprise Operations (EO) position supports the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics division located at either the Marietta, GA or Fort Worth, TX facility. This professional will ensure that the Lockheed Martin networks and IT systems are managed, controlled, and compliant with LM policies and procedures. This position is responsible for successfully providing UNIX/Linux Server System Administration tasks on UNIX/Linux servers. This position performs as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the UNIX/Linux server environment by successfully analyzing, implementing, developing, troubleshooting, negotiating, and making recommendations as to product selection, implementation, and development. This includes routine updates, major upgrades, and on-going maintenance and support to UNIX and Red Hat Linux (RHEL) Servers. The Systems Administrator Sr will also work requests for IT assistance related to servers, software and/or hardware problems, domain accounts and password issues.

The Systems Administrator Sr assists users with resolving technical issues with applications, network connectivity and hardware. The team member will assist with Cybersecurity tasks to include performing environment vulnerability scans, remediation of vulnerabilities by applying recommended patches provided by multiple vendors.

They will ensure that all Lockheed Martin assets and software are properly accounted for, managed, and controlled.

The position also supports a 24 X 7 weekly on-call rotation schedule.

This professional utilizes troubleshooting skills to provide users timely and effective solutions to problems. They develop technical solutions to problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

Responsibilities also include:
• Utilizing ServiceNow, work customer reported server/desktop support issues
• Analyze and resolve issues related to the network, infrastructure, and tools
• Performing successful root cause analysis for complex problem resolution
• Performing some analysis and assessment of server performance and storage capacity and planning for future needs
• Performing routine server/workstation O/S patching, upgrades, vulnerability/security management and file system maintenance, most of which will occur after-hours and on weekends to avoid customer outages
• User account management
• Maintain system documentation
• Successfully installing server systems and related hardware
• Successfully interfacing with hardware service controllers and configuring for lights out management
• Successfully installing and configuring operating systems, software applications and programs
• Ability to act independently in closed area environment and lead projects based on program requirements
• Provide input to architected solutions based on customer requirements and coordination with vendors on hardware and software implementation, problems, patches, and upgrades.
This facility requires US citizenship.
Basic Qualifications:
• US Citizenship required for this facility
• Experience with UNIX and Linux Systems Server Administration (i.e. Solaris 10/11, RHEL 6/7, AIX 7.1, HPUX) to include virtualized environments
• Experience with Server networking to include configuration of various networking protocols, troubleshooting and performance monitoring
• Experience with Server vulnerability remediation management tools and methodologies (Bladelogic, Splunk, Yum, SCCM, Shavlik, Ansible, etc)
• Experience with Server virus protection products
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
• Ability to obtain Security + Certification
Desired Skills:
• Current Security + and / or CISSP certification
• Demonstrated analytical capabilities to include complex problem solving skills
• Knowledge of network information service (NIS) and automounter
• Knowledge of virtualized environments such as Solaris containers and VMware
• Knowledge of configuring storage (NAS/SAN) within Solaris and Linux, AIX, HPUX
• Knowledge of operating system security concepts including SELINUX and firewalls.
• Professional certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, UNIX or Linux)
• Knowledge of Network administration (routers, firewalls, etc)
• Unix and Linux server and desktop support
• Knowledge of Veritas Netbackup experience
• Knowledge of scripting (Ansible, BASH, Shell)
• Proven ability to create documentation and reports using MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Demonstrated strong verbal & written communication and organization skills.
• Knowledge of with successfully delivering documented procedures based on industry standards and best practices
• Active DoD Secret (or above) clearance
