Systems Engineer (Level 4) - IT Staff

Description:The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program) is looking for world class talent in Mission Systems and Software to be a part of a team that will carry on our 75+ year tradition making history in advanced aircraft development.

The applicant will perform Information Technology Systems Engineer activities in support of an ADP (Advanced Development Program) classified program. The applicant will develop, configure, install, integrate and manage components or images for server, workstation and network operating systems. Coordinate with other functional teams in the development, integration and maintenance of ground station system software. The applicant will be responsible for developing documentation for specific installations and configurations necessary to support operations and ongoing support activities. Successful candidates will install and test COTS applications on system hardware as required by system design specifications.

The ideal candidate will be able to solve problems rapidly and will have excellent communication skills. This candidate will be expected to update or create new procedures to share knowledge with the larger team. Understanding of a broad spectrum of information technologies related to workstations, servers and networks is needed. Some travel is required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Must be a US citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. A secret clearance is required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience supporting Windows or Linux domains
• Experience with TCP/IP-based networks.
• Security + Certification
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor's degree or above in a STEM discipline
• Linux or Windows Powershell scripting
• Experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter Server
• Experience with NetApp Filers or other SAN technology
• Experience in Windows Server and Active Directory Server Administration
• Experience in Cisco Routing and Switching
• Developing/Capturing custom Operating System images
• Experience in Cybersecurity and JSIG implementations
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good documentation and technical writing skills to maintain system(s) configurations and network diagrams
• Demonstrated self-starter willing to work flexible hours and on-site support
• Ability to travel as required
