Job Responsibilities
Description:
You will be the Systems Architect Sr. Staff for the T-50/FA-50 Program which is responsible for defining and maintaining the aircraft’s high level logical and physical architecture, translates and traces stakeholder requirements into subsystem specifications, and manages all internal and external interfaces through rigorous configuration and baseline control. They also conduct trade off analyses, plan integration and verification activities, mitigate technical risks, ensure compliance with airworthiness, cybersecurity and export control standards, and act as the technical liaison between Lockheed Martin, KAI, and customers while providing a roadmap for future upgrades and sustainment.

As the Systems Architect Sr. Staff you will be responsible for shaping the end‑to‑end architecture of the FA‑50 platform, ensuring mission‑critical requirements are met and technology readiness is advanced.

- Mentor junior architects and contribute to technical strategy and roadmaps.

Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline (Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred)
• Demonstrated experience with systems architecture, functional partitioning, interface definition, networking, and/or computer resources (memory, processing, etc.) for federated avionics systems.
• Technical understanding and familiarity with radar, mission computing, displays, weapons, mission planning, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, and/or data links.
• Experience with the development of supplier specifications for avionics subsystems.
• Demonstrated experience interacting with commercial and government customers.
• Demonstrated understanding of the proposal process and the connection with technical requirement trade-offs.
• Knowledge of systems architecture best practices.
Desired Skills:
• Emerging leader in capabilities development, Model Based Systems Engineering, and Systems Engineering.
• Experience with the T-50/FA-50 or F-16 program.
• Experience with proposals and cost estimating for Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) programs.
• Strong programmatic and communications skills.
• Ability to think outside the box and develop creative solutions to complex problems.
• Previous F-16 Systems Architecture or System Design experience.
• Strong knowledge of ITAR and US Policy and applicability/impact to implementation.
• Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
