Job Responsibilities
Description:What You Will Be Doing:
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time highly skilled Automation/AI Systems Engineer to join our team in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, AI/ML, and automation, with experience in developing and integrating complex systems. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams collaboratively to:
• Design, develop, and deploy automation, AI, and ML solutions to improve business processes and operations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and AI/ML adoption
• Develop and integrate AI/ML models using various frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Implement automation solutions using scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins)
• Work with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines and architectures to support AI/ML solutions
• Develop and maintain software applications using programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python)
• Participate in the development of system architectures, including cloud-based and on-premises solutions
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure the security and integrity of automation, AI, and ML solutions
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, user manuals, and training materials
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in automation, AI, and ML, and apply this knowledge to improve existing solutions and develop new ones
Communicating with internal and external customers will be required.
Must be a US Citizen;
This position will require a government security clearance; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, R, or equivalent
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn)
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including design patterns, testing, and/or version control
• Experience with Visualization tools (e.g. PyPlot, Vaadin Charts, Seaborn, Tableau, etc.)
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Optimization engines (e.g. Gurobi, SCIP, etc.)
• Strong experience in technical writing, documentation generation, and peer reviews.
• Experience with version control and configuration management repositories (e.g. GIT)
• Communication experience with leadership at various levels

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
