We are looking for an AI/ML Product Owner who can translate data‑driven insights into high‑impact products that meet the stringent security, compliance, and performance expectations of military and intelligence‑community customers.

You will be the voice of the product—defining strategy, building roadmaps, and delivering AI‑enabled capabilities. Your work will span the full product lifecycle, from market research and requirement definition through agile delivery, launch, and continuous improvement.

You will partner with cross‑functional stakeholders (engineering, data science, operations, legal, senior leadership, and external customers) to:

-Turn technical AI/ML insights into real product value

-Navigate the security and compliance landscape of the Department of Defense, intelligence community, and other mission‑critical agencies.

-Champion our products internally and externally, balancing business goals, user needs, and revenue objectives.

Basic Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Business Administration or a related field

- 5 + years of product ownership/management experience for AI/ML‑enabled digital products, including full‑lifecycle responsibility (vision, roadmap, MVP, scaling) and proven delivery in an Agile environment (Scrum, SAFe, or LeSS).

- Hands‑on expertise with Python (Pandas, Sci‑Kit Learn, Keras/PyTorch) and SQL, plus a track record of designing and deploying data pipelines and machine‑learning models (including deep learning or LLM‑based solutions).

- Demonstrated ability to manage a multi‑million‑dollar product budget, develop business cases, and report performance against cost, schedule, and compliance objectives.

- Direct work with military or intelligence‑community customers, understanding their security and compliance needs.
Desired Skills:
- PhD / Doctorate-level degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business Administration or a related field

- Proven operational background, ideally from fast‑paced, mission‑critical environments.

- Experience with market research and analyzing customer behavior to shape product decisions

- Professional certification in Agile product ownership (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager) and/or advanced AI/ML credentials such as AWS Machine Learning Specialty, TensorFlow Developer, or similar.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
