You will be the Software Manager for the Product Integration Team (PIT).

We are seeking an experienced Software Manager to lead the software development efforts for the F-22 Weapon System as part of the Product Integration Team (PIT).

The successful candidate will have a strong background in large-scale agile software development, experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar frameworks, and a passion for driving culture change and agile transformation.

This role will complement the F-22 Weapon System Lead Engineer, working closely together to ensure the technical execution of the F-22 program.

What You Will Be Doing

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and oversight to the software development team, ensuring that all software aspects of the F-22 program are properly integrated and executed.

• Agile Methodologies: Lead the continued adaption and streamlining of agile methodologies to drive efficiency, quality, and collaboration within the software development team.

• Digital Engineering: Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools, such as Cameo, to drive digital transformation and improve the overall software development process.

• Development management tools: Utilize tools like, BitBuckets, GitLab, Jenkins, Grafana, Jira, and Confluence to ensure streamlined and effective project management, collaboration, execution, and knowledge sharing.

• Agile Culture: Drive an Agile culture within the software development team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration. Instill the pillars of Agile – Transparency, Inspection, and Adaptation – to ensure lasting, real success.

• Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure that software development aligns with the program's technical vision and objectives.

• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various stakeholders including the F-22 customer, the F-22 Weapon System Lead Engineer, Release Captains, Capability Leads, and other technical leaders, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

• Process and Metrics: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity within the software development team. Streamline metrics to help guide and improve the SW factory pipeline.

• Execution Leadership: Lead and coordinate software development activities for multiple product releases, ensuring delivery to commitments including cost, schedule, and major milestones.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with a minimum 8 years of experience in software development and at least 3 years of experience in agile software leadership

• Experience with SAFe or similar agile frameworks within DoD/DoW contracts

• Proven experience in driving culture change and agile transformation efforts

• Proven track record of experience delivering complex software products in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities

• Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
• Experience in large-scale agile software development
• Experience with Earned Value and Cost Account Management
• Strong knowledge of Jira and Confluence, with experience in administration and configuration
• Experience with Software Product Acquisition Management
• Experience with development and testing of embedded software systems such as Radar, EW, CNI, EO/IR, PVI, or SMS
• Intellectual Property protection
• Experience with system engineering principles and practices
• Experience with extreme teaming and collaboration with various stakeholders
• Knowledge of F-22 program specifics and domain expertise
• Experience with digital engineering tools, such as Cameo, and MBSE principles
• Experience with other agile tools and methodologies, such as Kanban or Lean
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
