Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking an experienced Software Engineer. In this role, you will create air vehicle level Radar Cross Section (RCS) test and evaluation software to perform all Signature tasks in a cost-effective manner. The software team follows an Agile process that focuses on quality, speed, and user-friendliness of the product.

Additionally, the qualified candidate will be trained to write and deliver software for Signature acceptance on site at Fort Worth, at US sites and at international locations. US and International travel possible. Although normal shift hours are specified, periodic weekend and alternate shift work flexibility is required to support production line and field operations.
Responsibilities will span the technology development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system and software design and implementation, and integration and flight test. The successful candidate is expected to plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities including: designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems.

Must be a US citizen or able to work in the U.S. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related Engineering degree.

- Programming in an Object Oriented (OO) language such as C++ or Java

- Familiarity and experience with Agile development methodologies

- Experience with Windows/Linux/Unix and MS Office.

- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working on projects or programs in a team setting.
- Matlab experience desired.
- Statistical/Numerical analysis experience desired.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated community service participation.

- Demonstrated experience and ability to deliver results for the business in partnership with program managers and other functional disciplines/organizations as needed

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
