The selected candidate will be a member of the Mission Assurance team under Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Engineering and Technology department. This organization is dedicated to the research and development of protection technologies used on numerous Lockheed Martin Aeronautics programs.

The selected candidate’s responsibilities will focus on the development of low-level functions and device driver software. The selected candidate will be required to develop and maintain associated software documentation (software requirements specifications, software design specifications, procedures, etc.) according to the level and detail required by the project. The selected candidate will implement and test embedded software that executes in FPGA and ASIC environments.

Applicants must demonstrate mature time-management skills due to the requirement of executing multiple concurrent assignments. The selected candidate will possess effective communication skills as the position requires to support product demonstrations and customer meetings as well as addressing customer feedback in a timely manner. Applicant must also be willing to mentor early-career team members. Some travel within the US is required.

Selected applicant will be subjected to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (SAP/SAR) and must maintain eligibility for continued access to classified information throughout their employment as required by the job.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM discipline
• Minimum five years professional experience developing with C/C++
• Minimum three years professional experience designing with OOA, OOD.

Desired Skills:
• Advanced degree (masters or doctorate level) from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM discipline
• Relevant recent work experience with avionics embedded architectures and low-level services / middleware software development.
• Relevant software interface experience utilizing COTS/GOTS/API integration within a small-scale integration environment.
• Recent team development experience utilizing Agile methodology.
• Experience in real-time or near real-time software and integration testing.
• Experience in developing and working with low-level device drivers.
• Knowledge of cryptography and key management
