Software Engineer Associate

Job ID: 556917BR Date posted: Jun. 10, 2021 Locations: Fort Worth, Texas Description:This Lockheed Martin (LM) Enterprise Business Services (EBS) position involves Robotic Process Automation (RPA) using Blue Prism software in conjunction with Microsoft (Visual Studio, C#, .NET) and middleware technologies.

This position involves standing up a new digital workforce at LM by developing robotic process automations for internal core functions and lines of business. Development will follow internal best practices, leveraging object-oriented design, MVC design patterns, and state of the art web interfaces across a wide variety of internal applications & platforms.

The position will be a member of the Aero IT Data Organization’s RPA Development team and participate in a fast paced, full lifecycle software development as part of a 3-8 person scrum team utilizing emerging digital technologies and agile development methodologies, releasing new automations every 3 to 4 months.

Candidates should also demonstrate strong problem solving and communication skills and be able to apply them through interactions with stakeholders to understand business needs, as well as, communicate with management, team leads, and team members to coordinate work assignments, report on progress, and identify risks & opportunities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain digital workforce (a.k.a. process automations or “bots”) which support key Aeronautics Lines of Business and Core Functional Organizations (including Engineering, Production Operations, Supply Chain Management, Sustainment, etc.)
-Develop code which interacts with relational databases (e.g. SQLServer, Oracle, HANA)

This position requires U.S. Citizenship.

The candidate will start as a full-time telecommuter and potentially transition to work on-site at the EBS facility in Fort Worth, Texas.
Basic Qualifications:
Computer science background and software development experience commensurate with familiarity with one or more programming languages (e.g., C#, C++, Java), algorithm analysis, scripting, object oriented programming, testing, writing database queries, and understanding datasets.
Desired Skills:
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies and concepts
• Able to understand logical decisions and process flows
• Familiarity with process flow diagrams and process documentation
• Asynchronous/event driven programming
• RPA Tools a plus (Blue Prism, UI Path, Automation Anywhere)
• Experience with automations a plus
• VersionOne experience a plus
