Help us bring this 4.5th Generation Fighter to life as an in-country Aircraft Actuation Engineering Lead providing flight control and subsystems engineering technical assistance to our partner, KAI.

The Challenge:
On September 3rd, 2020, the KF-X became a complete airframe. With your extensive experience in Flight Control Systems, you will be vital to KAI achieving their vision for their new age fighter!

Deploying from your current location, this opportunity allows you to partner intimately with our team and customer as you provide critical technical advice, training, support, and development through the appropriate application of analysis and integration to achieve an optimal design solution.

A Day in the Life:
Joining our KF-X team, you will be embraced by a welcoming Korean people and become a part of an intimate group of production and engineering professionals all working together to make this new fighter soar! You will be relied on for your knowledge of hydraulic actuation systems, servo-valve loop closure, and controller electronics, to guide and advise KAI engineers to success. Proactively assessing and resolving issues, you will partner and act as a trusted point of contact with the entire supporting organization.

On any given day, you will also:
• Provide full life-cycle flight control systems technical support and training
• Provide subject matter advice on overall actuation requirement compliance, supplier management, tutorial material creation, interface review, and performance data review
• Mentor, Train, and Lead a diverse team of Engineers

About You:
Developing and leading others to be successful, you enjoy advocating for your team. You take multi-tasking and paying attention to the details to a new level, planning, prioritizing, and encouraging accountability along the way to meet our KF-X deliverables. Adaptable, you are great with leading and inspiring a diverse group of individuals as well as building great relationships both internally and with our customers. Candidate should have a passport that will remain valid for at least one year and be able to obtain a Korean Visa.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
• 9+ years of experience in aircraft system integration
• Background in flight control system development, integration, design verification, qualification testing, and production.
• Must be a United States citizen
• Experience overseeing multiple tasks simultaneously to identify and resolve task conflicts and issues; experience interfacing with customers and subcontractors
• Proposal technical leadership experience.
• Exceptional skills to mentor and train other engineers
• Experience working on diverse engineering teams
• Experience with military or government programs
Desired Skills:
The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the others:

• Strong knowledge of aircraft system design and on-aircraft integration with preference in flight control system integration and verification
• Strong knowledge of servo-valve loop closure, controller electronics, and hydraulic actuation systems
• Experience in Simulink Tool
• Experience with Export Control Compliance
• Experience with communicating cross-functionally
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Strong Organizational Skills
