WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
As the Senior Manager and Lead of our Propulsion and Power Thermal Management team, you will play an integral part in our future, by serving as the functional competency leader supporting all Lockheed Martin Aeronautics' platforms and programs.

YOUR IMPACT
Propulsion and Power Thermal Management are key systems within an Air Vehicle and define performance for many of Lockheed Martin's products and are critical to the future as our team explores technologies that enable integrated capabilities for 21st Century Security. As the Senior Manager of the Propulsion and Power Thermal Management team, you will be ultimately responsible for enabling proficiency development, resourcing, and digital instruments for the team.
You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of many by guiding complex and diverse teams within Propulsion and Power Thermal Management spanning the product life-cycle, from initial design and integration into a developmental air vehicle, to test and verification of these systems, to production build verification, to fleet maintenance verification. You will also be uniquely placed to positively foster cross-department transparency and collaboration, recognize areas for improvement, and align program priorities, all to achieve our mission and better our team.
Beyond that, you may also find yourself:
· Positively partnering with our customers and key propulsion suppliers to ultimately reach development, production, and sustainment goals.
· Contributing to the development and follow through of Vehicle Systems strategies.
· Supporting the team through competency, candidates, resources, and process development.
· Recommending and guiding technology innovation opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:
-At least 12 years' technical experience with propulsion or power thermal management systems.
-Minimum 5 years' formal leadership experience.
-Demonstrated ability to manage team performance to schedule and cost commitments while maintaining technical integrity
Desired Skills:
·Workforce development experience
·Technical supplier or GFE management experience/ managing execution of contracted technical work to meet requirements within cost and schedule constraints.
·Strong executive and team level
communication skills - both written and verbal
·Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships across organizational levels and entities
·Experience supporting all phases of product lifecycle: development and demonstration, production, and sustainment
·EVMS control account management training and experience
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
