Project Engineer Sr Staff

Description:Candidate will coordinate with Program Mangers, Business Managers, Contracts, Pricing, Engineering, Customer Support and others within all programs at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company to develop and execute business/proposal strategies.

Candidate will be responsible for the Aeronautics Proposal Tool Suite (APTS) including enhancements to the tool, access requests, training, audits, and customer support.

Candidate will support the hiring and training of deployed proposal leaders and provide surge support as needed. Candidate will lead the effort to develop Proposal Leader and Contracts Technical Requirements (CTR) Project Engineer training modules, to include lessons learned, self-paced, and instructor lead training.

Candidate will be considered an expert in his/her field and will provide recommendations for Aero Code updates/enhancements and policy changes, as needed.

Occasional overtime and some travel will be required.

Security Clearance ** Needed
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must have the ability to obtain a secret level clearance after hire.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Technical discipline
• Experience working independently, in a multi-disciplined environment
• Experience in preparation of technical documentation and analyzing technical data
• Familiar with FAR/DFARS requirements
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools, specifically; Excel spreadsheets and Word
Desired Skills:
• Experience with intellectual property rights and requirements
• Engineering Degree with Systems Engineering experience preferred
• Experience in Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
• Familiar with Risk and Opportunity Management
• Experience with Aeronautics Proposal Tool Suite (APTS)
• Knowledge of / experience with LM Aeronautics proposal process and tools
• Organizational and technical writing skills
• Readily adaptable to changing requirements
• Experience collaborating with and leading multi-functional teams to meet common goals and objectives
• Experience with Government solicitations
• Experience collaborating with Engineering teams and leadership
• Experience developing properly bounded requirements depending upon contract type
